JIMMY LEE and the S O C

Mick came walking up to our campsite while we were in Montana at the Gateway Bar for a three week stay.  He asked if we knew which channel on the river was the true channel.  We had no clue as we were from SD but advised him the weather was soon to go bad and he was welcome to sit and camp with us. 

As we visited, he told us he was taking a canoe trip from Three Forks all the way down to St. Louis where he lived.  He had a cell phone that had limited service and a small motor to use in emergencies.  He had lost all his maps in a bout with turbulant waters, and was early in his journey yet.  We all tented up when the storm hit and afterwards we cooked some supper and toured Mick around Fort Peck.  We played some basketball and saw the sites.  In the morning he was off on his journey and we met a really great guy while he was our guest. 

So two years go by and I get a christmas card from Mike, he had lost our info but found it again and wrote to say he completed the trip and all was well.  He is in the jewelry trade and is a craftsman of the finest degree.  If you ever need some great custom designed rings or blings, he IS the man to call.  Tell him we sent you, and he will treat you like a king!
